Denitsa Damyanova was a semi-finalist of the Redress Design Award 2019. She holds a BA Degree in Fashion Design from Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano, Italy and co-founded sustainable and ethical fashion brand, blonde gone rogue, in 2017 with a mission to educate consumers about what is going on behind the scenes in fashion, and to provide alternative high-quality products that are created responsibly.

“In the last few years I have learnt how the fashion industry is damaging the environment and people. It is really overwhelming and I definitely don't want to be part of the problem. Instead, I want to be part of the solutions and believe that nothing is impossible”! - Denitsa Damyanova

redress Design Award Collection

Denitsa’s competition collection ‘Heroine’  is inspired by the strong women that have shaped her life. Up-cycled and reconstructed from natural fabrics sourced from a local garment factory, together with fabric swatches and secondhand jeans, all of Denitsa’s garments are designed using the zero-waste technique. In addition to this she  focuses on details such as expandable panels, belts and multiple buttonhole rows to allow each garment to be worn by different  sizes in order to eliminate the waste generated in size grading.
