Felipe is a semi-finalist of the Redress Design Award 2021. He holds a BA in Fashion Design from Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea and an MA in Menswear from University of Westminster, UK.

redress Design Award Collection

Felipe’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘Random Gents Memories’, is inspired by the Frietag upcycling model and focuses on reworking suits that are sitting dormant and unworn in wardrobes. Felipe’s design process is systematic, categorising each part of the deconstructed suits with a number and then randomly combining the pieces back together. Through the use of patchwork, the high quality fabrics are transformed to fashionable items, maximising their value and extending their life-cycle.
