Bio

Since winning the Redress Design Award 2021, Jessica has launched her own fashion brand, PCES, based in Taiwan, which focuses on the development of zero waste design patterning, aiming to reduce waste from the very beginning of the design process. By breaking away from traditional pattern-making methods that generate excess fabric, Jessica creatively transforms this technique into a signature approach, producing garments that are both distinctive and experimental. In 2024 and 2025, Jessica showcased her collection at Taipei Fall/Winter Fashion Week, and New York Fall/Winter Fashion Week respectively.

As part of her winning prize, Jessica Chang gained the opportunity to collaborate with Timberland® on their Lunar New Year 2023 collection, which retailed globally. Jessica’s two-in-one jacket made from organic cotton and designed with detachable parts, offering a versatile, all-gender design with longevity in mind for consumers. Jessica holds a BA in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design, USA.

Redress Design Award Collection

Jessica’s winning Redress Design Award collection, ‘The Wall’, explored the different forms of walls that form protection or barriers, from those existing in nature, to man-made architecture and emotional walls we built to protect our hearts. Jessica upcycled industry surplus textiles and secondhand clothing into garments, adding breathable window detailing, with the aim to reduce the frequency of garment washing.
