Bio

Liz Huynh was recognised as a Rising Talent of the Redress Design Award 2022. Her collection concept ‘Ninja Lead’ was inspired by the colourful floral jackets and UV-protective masks of female motorbike drivers in her home country of Vietnam, with surplus printed fabrics sourced from Vietnamese factories.

For the Redress Design Award, Liz demonstrated strength in executing concepts to design, zero-waste patterning, and selecting durable fabrics and loose silhouettes to design for longevity. She is interested in developing further in zero-waste patterning and larger-scale production.
