I think sustainability means to design something beautiful with minimal wastage. Sustainable fashion tests a designer's imagination and his ability to apply creative design techniques. For her Redress Design Award (formerly the EcoChic Design Award) 2012 China collection, Jia Xin applied the design technique of up-cycling to production leftovers collected from a factory as well as her own designs.
