New partners on board for the 10th cycle of the Redress Design Award

Bloomsbury Publishing and JUKI are the latest to join the exciting line up of partners supporting the 10th cycle of the Redress Design Award, which closes the doors for applications on 18 March. The impressive variety of prizes will support all 32 semi-finalists in their paths toward changing the future of the fashion industry through sustainable practices.

In a competition first, the Redress Design Award has opened with two prize categories:

  • The Redress Design Award Menswear Prize with VF Corporation, where the winner will receive a mentorship under industry experts and a professional development fund.

  • The Redress Design Award Womenswear Prize with The R Collective, with the winner designing a 10-piece womenswear capsule collection for retail.

Additionally, long-term sponsors Bloomsbury Publishing and JUKI are back on board and along with multiple other prizes will reward the two winners with:

  • A one-year full subscription to access all areas of Bloomsbury Fashion Central including the Fairchild Books Library and associated online resources, The Berg Fashion Library and the Fashion Photography Archive.

  • Receive a JUKI high-performance lockstitch machine and a JUKI overlock sewing machine. 

Other prizes include a once-in-a-lifetime mentorship opportunity with Orsola de Castro, one of the most influential figures in sustainable fashion, for the competition Runner-up; mentorships for all finalists from industry experts along with a 12-month premium Spotlight membership to the Common Objective platform, where they will be able to access premium intelligence and industry connections that will help them kickstart their careers in the sustainable fashion industry.
