Esther Li Yitao was recognised as a Rising Talent of the Redress Design Award 2022. Her collection concept ‘Displacement’ is influenced by image distortions, with surplus monofibre lace fabrics made into patchwork and coloured with a sustainable printer.

For the Redress Design Award, Esther demonstrated strength in constructing garments into unique shapes and using monofibre material to design for recyclability. She is interested in kickstarting a brand as well as developing further in production planning and growing her knowledge of materials.
