Lucia Alcaina Pozo is a semi-finalist of the EcoChic Design Award 2017. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design from LCI Barcelona in Spain. She currently works as a fashion designer.

As a passionate fashion designer, I aim to take social, environmental and economic responsibility for my designs alongside maintaining a balance between art and commerciality. EcoChic Design Award Collection

For her EcoChic Design Award application, Lucia applies the technique of up-cycling to cut-and-sew waste, swatches, end-of-rolls and damaged textiles. She is inspired by Miko priestesses and the complex ceremonial dances performed at religious events.
