Redress partners with world’s biggest digital fashion platform

Redress Design Award 2021 Finalist, Lucy Saunders, is launching a digital outfit on DRESSX, the world’s biggest digital fashion platform, which will make its debut appearance worn by Hong Kong-based influencer Jessie Li on Tuesday 1st March.

Redress has encouraged digital adoption among fashion designers, incorporating it as a key component of the Redress Design Award: all 10 finalists for the 2021 competition created a digital garment as part of their final collections (see them in our 2021 Digital Exhibition!).

Digital fashion presents incredible opportunities to eliminate fashion waste on multiple fronts: Reducing the need for physical samples, and satisfying customers’ demand for new fashion options without the need to buy physical items, are just two examples. We’re excited to continue working with DRESSX and other groups to pioneer the use of this exciting technology.

The Redress Design Award is the world’s largest sustainable fashion design competition, educating emerging fashion designers about sustainable design, building toward circularity in fashion. Learn more about the competition, including how to apply, here. Deadline to apply is March 16, 2022.
