Discover Emerging Sustainable Brands from Redress Design Award Alumni
As part of the upcoming CENTRESTAGE Asia’s Fashion Spotlight event at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Redress is presenting six fantastic emerging sustainable brands from our Redress Design Award alumni at a dedicated booth (1C-C01) from 9–11 September 2022. Collections include womenswear, menswear, and even baby slings and wraps.
Our alumni are at the forefront of a new breed of fashion designers prioritising sustainability and circularity as much as desirability. We invite buyers and media to register now to visit Redress’ booth and see the collections firsthand, including three brands homegrown here in Hong Kong.
Moe Ho by 2019 semi-finalist, He Mengmeng, China
LIKEPOEMS by 2018 semi-finalist, Debaditya Das Barman, India
Hyph-n by 2021 semi-finalist Saskia Baur-Schmid, Australia
PSY LAU by 2021 Hong Kong Best Prize winner, Psy Lau, Hong Kong
Absurd Laboratory by 2011 finalist Eric Wong, Hong Kong
Leelaloom Handwoven by 2011 semi-finalist, Dee Burton, Hong Kong
From Hong Kong, two more Redress Design Award alumni are exhibiting at CENTRESTAGE. Award-winning designer Angus Tsui’s namesake sustainable womenswear and menswear brand uses excess fabric stock sourced from Hong Kong companies along with organic and recycled fabrics and eco-friendly ink for digital printing.
Lorenzo Restagno’s brand Restagno Design will be showing a SS23 womenswear collection about the decadence and intimacy of an overgrown garden taken over by weeds, made with 100% biodegradable natural fibres and upcycled threads and textiles from local tailors.
